Hunley Trip

We visited Joel in Charleston in

early March, and toured the
C.S.A. Submarine H.L.Hunley,
and then to the Air Craft Carrier
York Town.

Joel is sitting in a scale model of

the Hunley to show how cramped

it must have been.

The hatches to enter and leave the Hunley

were also very tight. Below rear Joel

is peering out the steering, view hatch.

Henry is looking at a model of the Hunley.

Joel and Henry watch a video about the Hunley.

Below is a photo of what the Hunley

would look like on the Surface of the ocean.

Of course when we get together

there has to be food. Joel helps

Henry with a work of art.

The Air Craft Carrier Yorktown

was impressive.

Henry was impressed.
